Does anyone know what happened to the Gears and girders.net website? I get alot of info from them. the web says something about a bad domain name.

You might try emailing “Doc”… doc@girdersandgears.com Maybe his email exchange is still working. I am curious too as I have found many useful bits of info on that site at well.

I too have been blocked. All threads also seem to cut off. Curious.

I tried the email address and it got returned. It’s too bad. There was a lot of info on that website.

Try the Internet Archive (do a search). On the home page is a box titled “Wayback Machine”; enter the web address for Girders and Gears in that box. A time line will appear with heavy vertical lines indicating the dates that the website has been saved; the last is December 5, 2021. You can click on that date, or you can click on any year with a heavy line in it. Clicking on the year will bring up a calendar of that year, with date(s) highlighted when the target site have been saved.

The Wayback Machine only saves a few levels of a website, so much of the deeper details are not available.
