A friend is trying to build the Ferris Wheel with an 8 1/2 and is having trouble using just the instruction manual. Does anyone know of a more detailed set of instructions that can be accessed?

    Hello Bill,

So far I have built two of these Ferris Wheels, one for my Son as a birthday present. There is a post on the ACGHS site under “Model Building Tips” for this model. Tom Washeck wrote the article and I found it very helpful building my Ferris Wheels.

In addition I will soon be writing an article for the ACGHS newsletter about the Ferris Wheel build. Of course if your friend has any questions while building it, I’ll be happy to assist.

    Best Regards,

Attached are a couple photos that might help.

    Michael,
Thanx for your reply. I looked under Model Building Tips and only found the discussion for the Merry-go-round. Am I missing something? I am new to using this message board, altho a member for many years.

Your offer to assist my friend, Bob Blakita, is appreciated. He seems be well under way in his build. I don’t know where he bogged down. I was at his house briefly but did not have a chance to examine his partially completed ferris wheel to see if I could find his problem. I do not think he is a frequent erector builder, and I doubt he knows the parts by number or letter code. He live in Colchester CT. How might we set it up so you might be able to assist him?
Bob has recently become a good friend and I would like to get him some help. However, I am primarily a collector and have not built anything since the 1950s!

    Your thoughts?

    Thanx,

    Bill
