New here, still feeling out the amazing world of Mr. Gilbert. I’m trying to reassemble my 1958 Erector Set. I found a picture in Bruce’s Guide that is as close as i can come, but it isn’t mine. It’s 1959 #10083. Mine is 1958 #10082. I’m wondering why he didn’t include a picture of this set, since it still retained the ‘kneeling boy’ on the lid of the box. I’m currently scanning in my ‘Erector Bonus Manual’ that including Robots, Space Station, Texas Tower, Rocket Launcher, etc.etc. It definitely has the best instructions for putting together the record player, even as a working Victorian looking record player!
Any assistance this site can provide me is greatly appreciated. It’s amazing how many nuts I was missing. I’ve replaced them with good ‘ol eBay.
I can’t find the M4200 Manual anywhere on this site, so I will be uploading my copy after scanning it in.
    Cheers!

    Hello Warren,

On this site is Erector Site Galleries, which have a photo and layout of the 1958 #10082.

    1958 No. 10083 Erector Set

In the second edition of Bill Bean’s Guide, on page 173 is a photo of Robert Asleson’s 1958 No. 10082 set which includes the Sound Effects kit also known as the “Amusement Park Set”.

    Hope that helps.
    Best regards,
